Words from an Old English Prayer...

Take time to work-it's the price of success;
Take time to think-it's the source of power;
Take time to play-it's the secret to perpetual youth;
Take time to read-it's the foundation of wisdom;
Take time to be friendly-it's the road to happiness;
Take time to dream- it's hitching your wagon to a star;
Take time to look around- it's too short a day to be selfish;
Take time to laugh-it's the music of the soul.

Life

Let me jump in every creek
Swim in every lake
Sail all seven seas
Reach every mountain top
Dance in every forest

Let me walk in every garden
Play in every park
Lay on every beach
Walk every road
Twirl in every meadow

Let me observe each season
Winter's chill
Autumn's leaves
Spring's flowers
Summer's sun

Let me watch each sunset with new eyes
Gaze at each star and find its twinkle
Find a new a new shape in each cloud

Let me give each ounce of love I have
Breathe each breath as though it were my last
Treasure my friends
Hold my family in my heart
Look for good in every person
And live this awesome life!

Friendship

Veronica, me, Liz, Sonia, Anita and ...Jazzy!

True friendship, like a garden grows
from such a tiny seed,
that's planted first with love and faith
and nurtured with each need.
The warmth of sun, like kindness, makes
the tender buds appear,
with loving care, this garden blooms
like friendship, grows more dear.

Holiday Fun

Hey everyone!
So so so sorry I haven't posted for so so long! Well I will tell you everything now.
My family trip to Auckland was awesome! We went on the 14th of January for about 2 weeks, and stayed at our friend's house in Omaha which is north of Auckland, in this really fancy neighbourhood where the houses look like gigantic building blocks stuck on top of each other! The house we stayed in was a 2 min walk from the beach, which was amazing! The weather was hot and we went swimming every day. In the mornings when the tide was low I went shell collecting, the beach was full of beautiful shells, like the ones from the Disney movie little mermaid! I ended up bringing home about 2kgs of shells!
Playing tennis
One day I went into central Auckland to visit my friend Theresa Yong, and we spent the day together. I met her in 2005 when I went to Otago hands-on-science camp and we keep in touch quite a lot. This year she is doing a Bachelor of Biomedical Science degree at Otago (last year she did health science).

We also went for a cruise on a small boat around a marine reserve, where the scientist talked about all the life under the water. The boat had a glass bottom so we could clearly see everything below us, so many pretty fish! It was quite interesting!
Unfortunately the time came when we had to come back to Lower Hutt, and it took us a while to get used to life back at home where the weather was not as hot and we didn't go swimming every day at the beach. Although recently the weather has been quite nice so we did go swimming several times.
Last week my sister Linda started SHC college. It is so strange seeing her wearing my uniform! Last week they had yr9 orientation and put on a concert, which me and Mum came to watch, it was so nice to come back to SHC and see that it is still the same, I felt like I never left! Linda is in Lisiux the pink house, (I was in Barbier, blue) they have sports day coming up, but I'm sure Linda will have no problem finding what to wear since most of her stuff is pink anyway! On Monday Linda started classes and got her timetable. So far she is enjoying college (I think) although she comes home quite tired, and has been getting homework every day! She is lucky to have one of her friends in her form class (her form teacher is a new one) and I think she has friends in most of her classes. Linda has Mr Pipi for Social studies, Mrs Wootton for Religious Studies, Mr Boyle for English and Drama. She also has Mrs Spencer for Maths and new teachers for PE, French and Science. At the moment she is in my old biology classroom, E24 (she says my project about Charles Darwin is still there!) but I think they might be changing classes soon, after doing a test on the first day (at least that's what happened when I was yr9).
University is about to start for me in a couple of weeks, but I am getting really innoyed because I still haven't recieved my confirmation of study, and I sent my application in a month ago!!! Grr!!! I rang up the enrolment office several times but every time was told that my application is getting approved at the faculty. And courses will start in a week!! I wrote them a very stern e-mail yesterday but so far have no reply. If they don't reply by tomorrow morning I am going to ring them up and yell at them!! ...Hopefully it will all work out though!

Me at Omaha Beach, Auckland

Well that's all from me for now, hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday! :):):)
