On Thursday me and Christina went Christmas shopping and to my great relief it turned out a success! I guess me and Christina are more experienced at going Christmas shopping together because we have been going every year now for the past many years since about intermediate school. Anyway we set off to Queensgate at
10am and finished at about
5pm! Her sister Tanya had a morning exam but joined us at Queensgate at about lunchtime after her English exam (which she said was horrible but I’m sure it went fine. You can never tell with English… I remember English NCEA exams can be surprising as I know from past experience). We ended up taking two rounds of Queensgate, first with Christina and then Tanya joined us so we did another round together. (But we didn’t go to ALL the shops, our ‘rounds’ are quite selective –ie bookshops, souvenir type shops, a few clothes stores…)
At the end of the day I was satisfied with all that I bought. I love buying presents for people, it’s so fun! (as long as I’m not in a picky mood!!) That day I got all the presents I wanted to get (well almost all) so the day turned out a success! Christmas season is in the air now with all the shop decorations and Christmas present shopping! I’m going to have a bit of present wrapping fun…!! :)
