Girls day out...

Melissa and Me...
Last Sunday me and Melissa M. had a girls day out, to celebrate her 16th birthday. I got her a mini monument of a silver tuatara sitting on a mountain sphist rock- the rock symbolized strength and perseverance and the tuuatara symbolized determination and motivation, and also biology!First we went to Yam Cha Chinese restaurant in Lower Hutt. I haven't been for a long time, and it reminded me of the 7th form year when me, Anita and Jasmine used to go to Yam Cha every school holidays to celebrate the end of the term. It was so great to catch up with Melissa, we don't really get much chance to catch up during the year because of study, so it was awesome that we got to spend the whole day together. Our table
Melissa told me a story about the meal rice and meat wrapped in leaves
(what's that called again?)
...food...

Tried talking Melissa into carrying on with biology next year... I really hope she will! And the year after I will see her at Vic uni!!

After Yam Cha we went to the park near the Hutt central Library where we had a photo shoot taking photos all over the place! So fun!
...purple flower bush...and us!! Those flax leaves were so innoying getting in the way!

We tried to take photos of us up the tree but couldn't place the camera into a high enough position
We found a little forest type place where we took heaps of photos- the scenery was so pretty!
... and emerald green!!

...hiding in the bushes...

...sleeping on a bamboo tree...
...hugging the tree...
...on the bridge...
Unfortunately this was the final photo that we got to take with my digital camera. After that it stopped working... so sad. Now I'm looking for a new camera, I can't live without one!! It's like some people that can't live without their cellphone, I can't live without a digital camera!!! Have been looking for one, hopefully will get one within the next few weeks (or else how will I survive??)!!

After our photoshoot we went to the library where I helped Melissa study for her bio, chem and english exam. We then went to timezone near Hoyts Cinemas hoping to make some sticker photos. Unfortunately Timezone was no longer there! We were quite disappointed as we didn't know of any other place in Lower Hutt where we could make sticker photos. Afetr wandering around Queensgate for a bit, Melissa's Mum and her two (really cute!) sisters picked us up and took me home. It had been an awesome day overall!!

I invited Melissa over to my house on the 12th of Nov after school since it's the day of senior prizegiving so they have a half day. That should be fun too!
