End of the Year

On Friday, after Mum taught her last dance class for the year we had a BBQ at our house with the Quigg family from dancing.

...Linda and ballet...

It was really fun! The day was extremely warm (26 degrees Celsius) and we all sat outside, making the BBQ and eating and talking! I baked a raspberry cheesecake! After going for a walk, Linda, me, Mary and Maggie (our age) played fear factor, to see who can eat random (eatable) things in the garden first. We ate onion, salad, lemons and rose petals! Hehehe! I received my first Christmas present, but this year I had resolved not to open any presents until the actual Christmas day so I put it under the Christmas tree that we put up the following day! Yea now it really feels like it’s Christmas season! I feared that Lola might not be friendly with the Christmas tree, but she seems to take no notice of it! Whew I imagined Christmas trees toppling over...

In January we are invited to stay in Havelock North for several days at the Quigg’s beach house! Yea!! We’ll get to go camping in the back yard! I love tenting so much, it’s so much fun! We will be going up on the 7th of January and staying till the 12th! Then we will be going up to our friends house in Auckland and staying there for a couple of days. Finally we will go to Orewa where we have already been several times and stay there for a couple more days! So exciting, I can’t wait!! But first we will celebrate Dad’s birthday on the 20th Dec, Christmas on the 25th and New Year on the 31st-1st!! December is always a month of celebrations, and I love it!!! :)
